报告摘要 Abstract: We will review recent progress in the PDE study of the Euler-Poisson system for describing a self-gravitating star.

个人简介 Bio: 郭岩, 美国布朗大学L. Herbert Ballou University Professor of Applied Mathematics, 1987年本科毕业于北京大学, 1993年博士毕业于美国布朗大学。郭岩教授是国际偏微分方程研究领域的专家和Kinetic理论的国际学术带头人之一, 主要工作在Kinetic理论、流体稳定性与不稳定性、边界层等方面。论文发表在Ann. Math.、J. Amer. Math. Soc.、Invent. Math.等5篇以及CPAM、Duke. Math. J.、Adv. Math.、J. Eur. Math. Soc.等120余篇。2013年在第六届华人数学家大会上作1小时特邀报告，2017年入选美国数学会会士。
