报告摘要 Abstract：In this talk, we consider an extension of the non-unique game framework, an optimization problem over compact groups whose loss function depends only on relative transformations of the group elements, to address symmetric structures. A notable example is common lines based orientation estimation of cryo-EM images for molecules with point group symmetry. With a semidefinite programming relaxation, we turn the problem into a convex program that is solved with the alternating direction method of multipliers. Unlike existing approaches which are tailored to specific symmetry groups, ours provides a unified computational framework for addressing all point group symmetries. We demonstrate the applicability of the proposed algorithm on the cryo-EM orientation estimation problem on both simulated and experimental datasets. In particular, our algorithm is effective in generating high-quality ab initio models from only a few class averages computed from experimental images.

个人简介 Bio：杨睿逸现为上海交通大学自然科学研究院和数学科学学院长聘教轨副教授。2017年本科毕业于加州大学洛杉矶分校，2022年博士毕业于芝加哥大学，随后在普林斯顿大学从事博士后研究。主要研究方向包括非欧几何场景下的贝叶斯计算方法、非参数统计理论、以及计算调和分析，为反问题和机器学习提供数学基础。学术成果发表于SIAM系列，Ann. Stat., J. Mach. Learn. Res.等期刊。
